Which book’s world would be the absolute worst to live in?
The sieve of all primes,
and the testing of our souls;
by flames of great fire.
It is written of our times that if God did not shorten those days, even the elect of God might not make it through them. But wisdom is this; from God comes strength; and by His strength, a soul can suffer any terror and live.
Many who suffer, pray for their suffering to end. But wisdom is not this, but rather can be found in Maria Faustina Kowalska, who writes to Christ Jesus, “only give me strength.”
The one whose heart is charity, and understands that in suffering, help is given to souls; this one even goes further and says, “increase the magnitude of my suffering, O Jesus!”
Suffering, when accomplished in a state of grace, is gold upon the scales of Yahweh’s Divine Justice, and so it pays the price for sin. Through such suffering, one may obtain for another the gift that their soul be drawn into God’s Divine Mercy through His graces; and there, at the foot of the cross with Maria, receive The Precious Blood of Jesus, and be healed.
This can all come through prayer alone; without the need to suffer much; but a soul who can accept the cross upon their shoulder, should accept it; thus adding value and benefit to The Holy Cross, and helping Jesus to bear the weight of it, as Simon the Cyrenian did.
