Where there are the crowds,
whose every thought is the world;
one does not find peace.
To find people is not difficult. To find friends is where difficulty lies; for few can offer true friendship. A friend has love; and love suffers; and mankind is not predisposed to accepting its own suffering for the good of another.
Whether you meet people good or bad, it is truly irrelevant; whether you have friends, true friends willing to die for you, or whether you have only enemies among you; this does not matter. The important thing is what lies within you.
A soul may escape from the world, as the desert fathers & mothers of early Christian times; and live in isolation, apart from the world. Or one may surround themselves with men of power and wealth, the most wicked of men, whose hearts are greed and human pride. It does not matter; the important thing is what lies within you.
Wisdom is to constantly find one’s own faults; go to Christ Jesus crucified on the cross; and ask forgiveness.
The antithesis of wisdom, is to seek out praise from others. To let others shower you with empty praise and flattery. This is the road of The Devil.
To be a saint, and to inherit The Kingdom of God; it is wisdom one must follow; and wisdom is no greater, than wherever you are, and whoever is around you, your mind, your heart, and your soul; these are at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, beneath him, and next to Maria, his mother; looking up at him, weeping, and saying into his Sacred Heart, pierced through by the sharp tip of a Roman spear, “Jesus, look what I have done to you by my sins; please, forgive me.”
